Three girls visit a local an abandoned house and are surprised with what is inside....
This is our first film........ Thanks Chiller TV for putting this contest on. Marty and I have always wanted to do a movie and this really gave us an opprtunity to do it.... We had great actresses, very patient with us "rooks." We also had some great luck and some really bad luck... In all this was an Awesome experience. Some Notes:

Awesome, excited to see it. I am glad that we weren't the only ones that were "first-timers" in this competition. It sounds like there are a lot of people who are submitting works that have been around since before the contest was even announced. That seems a little bit like cheating to me. I worked on this with three other guys and while we were friends, we had never worked on a project together. It was interesting to see all the different creative minds coming together to complete a project on such a tight deadline and still be proud of our entry "Potter's Field".
I kind of liked it when I thought that everyone was under the same constraints. It you have had years to polish a submission, it hardly seems fair. Perhaps Chiller will make a rule that it has to be an original submission made just for the contest. Anyway, that is my two cents. Good luck with "No Trespassing". Brian -------------------- |

sounds interesting. the only setback in my film was that the guy that was gonna let us use his nice HD camera decided not to, which forced us to use a regular minidv camera making it really difficult to do the greenscreening.

We lucked out with the actresses, once we got them...
One is a "B" movie actress that has tons of expereince across lots of genre. She really helped us (rookies) out by responding to our ad and saying yes to the film... One is a swimsuit model and has never acted, she was great!!! Her website is spectacular!!!! And the other had zero acting experience, but was a perfect dark/edgey type girl that we needed for the film.... The first house we had was actually the most perfect house, much like the one you have in "STAY." Ours was tree covered, Ivy growing all over, No Trespassing signs all over the palce and falling down. The recluse that owned the property had a sudden change of heart 12 hours before shooting. At 6 am the next mornsing I found the new house (luck) and we shot there...

I am the other half responsible for 'No Trespassing'. I must say that with all the trouble we had making it was really fun, it may not have turned out like we had hoped but it was a fun enough experience for us to want to try again!
I must say I am very impressed with the people on this bored, everyone is very supportive. It would be so easy to just rail on people and tell them how bad their stuff is. |

Hi, Jason
Thanks for your compliment on the blaster I used in "Zombie Slayer in Leather." I am glad it appeared realistic to you. I actually started work on it over ten years ago, working on it as I had the chance. About the hand coming out of the ground...I took a large piece of cardboard with a hole in it large enough to put my hand through, and taped a piece of aluminum foil under the hole. Then I took a card table and laid it sideways on the ground so I could anchor the cardboard down on the table legs that were highest from the ground. I then put potting soil and dead leaves over the top of the cardboard and the foil. When my camera was running, I laid down underneath the cardboard, and slowly poked the foil with my hand and pushed it up through the soil. This way, the soil would fall in as I pushed my hand up, creating a realistic effect. Pretty neat if I say so myself, eh? I will look forward to seeing your next film.
