I watched this movie last night and it was very well done. It's an Australian movie about two sisters and a boyfriend that go out on a boat trip with a guide in the mangrove swamps. I won't give anything away but it's like Open Water, but better camera shots. Also, you get very to know the characters more and are scared for them. My heart was pounding and I was on the edge of my seat watching this. It starts slow but it's the getting to know the characters part. Just give it a chance to get going. I highly recommend watching it.

Damn, another one of these movies that have 2 of basically the same title in the same year.

Black Water, "A terrifying tale of survival in the mangrove swamps of Northern Australia"

and

Blackwater, "Four young women tourists are hunted by ruthless woodsmen in the Florida Everglades"

Why does that look like a scifi pictures production?

Maybe because it is?

This is dated Feb 26, 2004 so I'm not sure it is the correct one but you can look and decide for yourself.

Reason for edit: no, this looks totally different but????? I'm confused?

What got me was 2 in 2007. There are more but they are "aka", not the exact title

2.Tennessee Nights (1989)
aka "Black Water"

3.Kala Pani (1980)
aka "Black Water" - (English title)

As we all know, I'm a fan of some character development and a huge fan of Wolf Creek and any of the recent spate of Aussie/New Zealand horror! This looks good, imo! I'm also a fan of Open Water. I am going to go see if I can queue this now! Thanx for your good work Nurse as usual!!

See my little review in Last Horror Movie You Watched! I said almost the same things you did! I didn't know this movie was that old and that everybody has seen it already! For those of you who have not--it is really worth watching.
