Wikipedia has a complete listing of all the episodes with a synopsis for each. Check there.

Back in the 80's, I saw an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents where a woman in prison made an arrangement with the mortician to escape. It entailed her getting into the casket of a recently deceased person and the mortician was to dig her up after she was buried. Does anyone know the name of the episode, and maybe help me find if it will be broadcast on Chiller? Thanks! This ep was broadcast last week. Maybe they'll rerun it. Keep an eye on the schedule. Season Hubley played the main character. Also, check the AHP board, because I'm pretty sure we discussed it there. I know I posted somewhere about the hiliarous 80s clothing. -------------------- WordWych

I think, ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS 1985 Final Escape originally aired october 1985 It was a remake from THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR 1964 Linden Chiles Judge Geoirge DiCenzo ? Patrice Donnelly Shirley Jerry Hardin Warden Season Hubley Lena Trent Davis Roberts Doc Anne Syemour Esther Could not find the synopsis, but I think this is the one you are looking for. I hope. The following is a synopsis on the original airing in 63-64 season from entertainment/msn/com Career criminal Paul Perry (Edd Byrnes) has earned a measure of fame for his daring escapes from various jails and prisons. But it looks like Perry's luck has run out when he sentenced to serve a 15-year sentence in a maximum-security prison farm, where head guard Captain Tollman (Stephen McNally) is determined to keep Perry behind bars for keeps. Undaunted, Perry hatches a "foolproof" escape plan with an unlikely accomplice: an old "lifer" named Doc (Robert Keith), who works in the prison infirmary...and also prepares the coffin whenever an inmate dies. This literally claustrophobic episode was written by John Resko, a former death-row inmate who managed to parlay his last-minute reprieve into a lengthy literary career upon his release from Sing Sing in 1949. "Final Escape" was remade as an episode for the 1985 revival of Alfred Hitchcock Presents -- with actress Season Hubley in the Edd Byrnes role. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |

There's no much action in this forum, is there.
Are there any fans of the new show around to talk to? |

There's no much action in this forum, is there. Are there any fans of the new show around to talk to? Doesn't look that way does it? maybe now that it got bumped, it'll get a little movement. I really don't think the new series is good as the original. I watch it regularly but don't get into it like the old one. -------------------- ** ========================= Evil Hides, not just in darkness and shadows but in Lies & Deceit. Neither do I, horrable. They're not unwatchable, it's just as you said, not as good as the original.
I also feel sorry for the way they manipulate Alfred Hitchcock. He was probably rolling in his grave over those computer images. |

Yeah, Chal, no doubt.
But getting past the captive computerized image of poor AH, any thoughts on the remake itself? Anybody? |

I like the 80s version. Many of the stories are scarier. I can remember watching episodes like The Gloating Place, Beast In View, An Unlocked Window, The Creeper, and Night Caller, and getting scared as a little girl. Bang, You're Dead! is excellent and sends a good message about kids and guns. The Method Actor is a nice little black comedy. There are some weak stories, but for the most part, it's a good update.
Now, if you want to talk about something that is not as good as the original, it's The Outer Limits, where many of the stories were too focused on sex. -------------------- ![]() Beware those late night Walmart shoppers... |

I vaguely remember watching AH when I was a little girl, now that I am older, I am rediscovering them. Honestly, I am really getting into them now. I try to watch every day during lunch. I love how there is always a twist, and evildoers always seem to get their just desserts!
