On the subject of scream queens, deadnurse, my fave raves are as follows: Barbara Steele (Black Sunday, 1960, the Night Gallery seg The Sins of the Fathers, to name a few), Janet Leigh (Psycho, 1960, which touched on Edward Gein's murders in and around Plainfield, Wisconsin from the late-1940s to the mid-1950s), Martine Beswick (former Bond-girl who turned up in the Night Gallery seg The Last Laurel and the film Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, both of which were done in 1971), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween and some of its follow-up films), and a really big fave of mine, sunshine-blond, blue-eyed, 5'7" tall Joanna Pettet (4 Night Gallery appearances, with 2 in its 2nd season, Welcome to Arrow Beach, which featured Laurence Harvey as both actor and director, The Evil, and Double Exposure). Yes, I realize that JP was predominately a dramatic actress, but she qualifies as a scream queen as well due to the aforementioned roles that she played in the films and the NG series in which she was featured amongst the actors listed in the casts. It's just a thought that I wished to express. Thanks for your indulgence. MartinKandell September 2, 2008
