Coffin, I loved Creature From The Black Lagoon! It scared the shit outta me when I was a kid and I wouldn't go swimming for months after seeing it. I had to get it the minute i saw it on DVD and play it right to death.

I remember watching Dawn Of The Dead with my Grandmother (she likes horror to a point). She said that her stomach hurt for days afterwards! LOL
Coffindan
Yaaaay another fan of the gillman! If you EVER get the chance you should see this in its original 3D format. I had the pleasure a few years ago. A local artsy theater ran it for 2 nights and it was so cool to see the creature reaching out of the screen! I felt like a kid in a monster candy store with my 3D glasses on......that they made you give back!! Urrg! Of course I cant find any of my old 3D glasses from days gone past..... unsure.gif
slipknotbrat
OMG!! 3-d!!!!!!!!! That must have been the most awesome thing ever! Why oh why can't I have anything like that around here?? I wonder if they can bring a 3-D format to DVD? It would be fab to be able to watch it over and over again like that. Also, you'd get to keep your 3-D glasses Coffin! laugh.gif

You can find bootlegs of it in 3D but it is in a format that isnt standard red and green (anlygraph?). Now back inna day there was a VHS release of this in the red and green 3D format. I rented it and copied it. I WISH I had kept the copy!! It didnt work all that well on the VHS but it turned out that it was a glitch from the factory so....but yeah you get a chance see it!

I really wish Universal would release this in a 3D format on DVD. It would make a ton of peeps happy!

Good to see another Bava fan. I'm a Bava obsessive myself. Looking forward to the new edition of KILL, BABY...KILL due out on DVD soon.

As for AUDITION, it's the first film in years that made me have to get up, take a deep breath and a long walk to collect myself. I was highly affected by it. That's pretty phenomenal in itself.

I am a big forgein film person too, have like fifteen friends all from different countries that know some of the best films.

Its not really a horror film but it scared the shit out of a few of my friends until there really did not want to watch it, and it has some of the most disgusting sexual comparissons ever made by any film if you know the true backstory behind the author and the young girl.
the film in Svanjmaer's *spelling?* Alice
its not a film that you will probably enjoy its more of an art film.
Its a flim that will try to torture your subconscious as you watch it, instead of hurting horny teens the sociopath in this film is the film and it is hellbent on driving you insane. It is a surrealist film so of course it is not about enjoyment, more about the art of the film and to get a reaction out of the viewer weather it be good or bad.

It's fairly hard to get ahold of, and im pretty much sure that not many video stores will have it. sooooooooooo our solution is AMAZON! magical amazon has everything!
http://www.amazon.com/Alice-Kristına-Kohou...8260&sr=8-4
AND ITS ONLY 30 BUCKS! oh wait... thats expensive....
well its worth it.
And its a great introduction to surrealist cinema.

CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST pretty much exists outside of the top 10 for me. Although it's damn-near flawless in execution, it's such a viscerally affecting film that I can't really call it a favorite. It certainly achieves what it intends, but to such a degree that I certainly don't feel the need to revisit it often and put myself through that same emotional wringer again. It's not a film that I can ever say I actually enjoy.

Regardless, it's Deodato's crowning achievement.
The Cryptkeeper
Here's mine

1.Child's play
2.Tales from the crypt demon night
3.Creephouse
4.A nightmare on elm street
5.children from the corn

8.The shining

Good point.

It's not a film that is easy to sit through from beginning to end. It definitely is not for everyone. But, given the fact that it is arguably one of the most controversial films made (along with Salo, Last House on the Left, etc.) and the influence it had on other film makers in the genre (Blair Witch comes to mind) I had to put it in my top 10.
