I will pick up 28 Weeks Later and hopefully I can find the Ghost School Trilogy somewhere as well. Poltergeist and The Hunchback are probably titles I will pick up some time as well.

Polterfeist is a must have for me,my VHS is on it's last legs. The Ghost School Trilogy looks interesting what's it about.
ShaunS
It is a trilogy of asian horror films. They all deal with ghosts and and a school (Captan Obvious with the title). I have only seen Whispering Corridors personally, but the Tartan line is one that I collect, and I have yet to get any of those titles.
Lennon
I know this is late but has anyone picked up Flight of the Living Dead.... it looked kinda cool
ShaunS
I haven't heard much about it. I saw that Poltergeist is only ten bucks at Best Buy this week, so I will more than likely pick that one up as well.
DarkVampiress
I am definitely getting 28 Weeks later and Worn Turn 2.

Whats Deadwood Park??
ShaunS
Deadwood Park (2007)

From IMDb:

QUOTE
The small community of Eidolon Crossing once boasted a flourishing economy and great prosperity, fueled by Dogwood Park, an amusement park at the edge of town. Then the child murders began. When the first child's corpse was discovered at Dogwood Park, the town knew they had been pulled into a horrible nightmare. As more murdered children were unearthed on the amusement park property, attendance began to decline. Finally, the macabre publicity shut the park down entirely. Dogwood Park was abandoned. The old amusement park became known as "Deadwood Park" by the locals. Eidolon Crossing quickly withered into poverty. Over the course of 35 years, 26 children disappeared at the hands of the elusive murderer. In 1979, Jake Richardson's little brother Francis was the last of the children to be abducted. Jake and his parents moved away from Eidolon Crossing shortly thereafter. Now an adult, Jake is drawn back to Eidolon Crossing, the town where his brother was taken from him. The spirits of the many murdered children begin to contact Jake. He glimpses them in the shadows of his house. He hears them whisper in the darkness of the surrounding farmland. Jake is led back to abandoned Deadwood Park. Here, somewhere in this decaying amusement park, is the path that leads to the killer's identity. It becomes Jake's mission to solve the mysteries of this sinister, blood-soaked town.

Not even 5 people have rated it on IMDb, so it must be fairly unknown. Anybody know anything about this title?

It doesn't look to by cup of tea, as the whole torture genre seems a bit pointless to me. It is based on a novel and a true story apparantly.

Yes it's based on the Indianna case of the murdered girl in the basement named Sylvia Likens. She was tortured for a couple years really by a lot of the neighborhood children and the mother who encouraged it and of course also tortured her. She was the mother of some of the kids but not Sylvia's mother, Sylvia was simply left in her care along with her sister. This was around the time of the World's Fair which is where her parents had traveled to when they left her with this woman. It may very well be the most torturous real case I have ever read about and I've read many. I read the actual case study and then there is a book by Kate Millet called The Basement and that book is written from Sylvia's POV as Kate sees it through case study documents. The Basement is heartbreaking, so much so that it is at times unreadable and you have to take breaks in order to get through it but it is so well written. It's really hard to reccommend a book like that as it is really the hardest thing I've ever read. It hits you to the core of your soul and it will leave a scar there.

It's so hard to believe that this happened in the early 60s... I guess we have come to believe that social horrors belong to the current era, and the decades before ours were Leave it to Beaver innocent.
headcheese
Well here's the reality msfitz! This probably never would have been reported except for the fact of her death! Had she not died eventually and simply been tortured and lived through all of it, we never would have heard about it! Just my opinion.
