I really like Dog Soldiers, it was a pleasant surprise when it came out. The werewolves were awesome. I was expecting your typical nothing special movie. I guess when your expectations are low then you enjoy it that much more when it turns out great. My favorite werewolf movie though would still have to be "An American Werewolf in London." I know, I know a lot of people say that. I loved the humor in the movie. "A naked American man just stole my balloons!" I really enjoy "the howling" as well but I think American Werewolf has much better character development. You find yourself liking the characters in the movie, and that is the sign of a good movie not just a good horror movie. I think I'm so fond of it because I watched it a lot as a kid. It's hard to top something that you loved as a kid. Your imagination is working overtime at that point in your life and everything and anything seems possible.

It's been a while since I've seen Dog Soldiers but from what I remember it was really good. I have been wanting to rewatch it ever since I saw the Descent(which I hated) and Doomsday (which I loved!).
I think it deserves a second chance since good werewolf movies are a rare breed. The only ones I really like are Silver Bullet, Ginger Snaps, and American Werewolf in London.

It's great. The werewolves look great, the storyline is awesome, and gore and violence is fucking sweet! Best werewofl movie ever

I liked it for the military element. I think they were a Scottish Highlander unit. And the conversation about soccer (football), "[Soccer] is not a game, it is a match."
yes, the gore was good as well as the action and scare factors.

I love "Dog Soldiers"! I just put up a thread last night on the movie review board about this flick. Great action, great special effects, awesome use of weapons and I love the scene of the one soldier beating the werewolf with his bare hands. Filthmaggot said it when he mentioned that there aren't many good werewolf movies out there. "Ginger Snaps" was original, and I did enjoy going back in time with "Ginger Snaps: The Begining". I would love to make a movie about werewolves in the frontier days. Sort of "Last of the Mohicans" with lycans!
