I have seen....
a lot....of zombie movies. Some good, a bunch bad, a few.....absolutely dreadful!
What do you nominate for the worst zombie movie(s) of all time?
This is my first nomination:
Hard Rock Zombies (1985)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089254/How do you fight a zombie attack? Why, by smacking them in the head with large cardboard signs of famous people!
Somehow they manage to involve Hitler in this movie as well. Don't ask, it's not worth bringing up again.

I think that Dawn of the Living Dead was terrible. I couldn't watch it all the way through. And just in case (I don't want to get hate mail lol), no, I'm not talking about a Romero movie, which I love. This piece of crap was direct to video. There's another name for it, too, but I'm not sure what it is. But yeah, that's my nomination.

Redneck Zombies was pretty darn bad. Though I must admit I got a kick out of the tobacco man....just like the ice cream man only sells tobacco. It was amusing to see the rednecks get all excited when they hear the tobacco man's truck coming. However, make no mistake...this movie is a crapfest from beginning to end.

Curse of the Screaming Dead aka Curse of the Cannibal Confederates is in my top 3 worst movies EVER. I love it!
There's also:
Zombie Lake
Todd Sheets' Zombie Bloodbath movies
House of the Dead movies
Alien Dead
Plan 9 From Outer Space
Children of the Living Dead
Zombie Ninja Gangbangers
Nightmare City
Oasis of the Zombies
That's just the tip of the iceberg!

House of the Dead.
Now I'm all for so-bad-they're-good movies but there was nothing , and I mean NOTHING positive I could say about this one.

House of the Dead does indeed take the worst zombie movie cake! I don't know how I forgot that craptastic film. I honestly don't know how Uwe Boll is still making films to this day. How does someone like him keep getting a budget? I can't imagine the studio who would hire him. Honestly, if you hired him you are pretty much guaranteed to produce the biggest stinker in the manure pile. Maybe that's what they are going for. I mean I do watch his films just to see how bad they are. Maybe there is a built in market for sh@#.

I actually thought Redneck Zombies was decent for a direct-to-video release.

lol you are going to make me admit that I enjoyed watching it aren't you? You are evil! It's one of those sooooooo bad you find yourself enjoying how terrible it is type films. However, in my defence I don't think anyone could ever call it a "good" zombie movie.

I've heard Uwe Boll referred to as the modern day Ed Wood. LOL
As for Redneck Zombies...I liked it. Don't think I can sit through it again though. Being a HUGE Troma fan they could slap their label on anything and I'll watch it. I can't wait to see Poultrygeist.

Troma only distributed it though, their team didn't produce it. I liked it because, although pretty bad, it didn't try to take itself seriously.

Poultrygeist is a true Troma film though. Most of the best films Troma owns the rights to they had nothing to do with.
God I wish I had the money to do that lol

Okay, I agree with everyone about House of the Dead. Now, House of the Dead II, that's another story. I actually liked it. And, I can't remember the name of it, but I watched a zombie flick a couple of years ago that was terrible. The clerk at this great little video store had recommended it to me when I told him I liked gore. Well, the movie was actually light on gore. But, it was heavy on porn. Yes, it was essentially a porn film with zombies. Terrible!

haha zombie porn..it doesn't shock me though. I've seen ads online for the repenitrator, the xxxorcist and I guess they are currently making Evil Head lol I saw the Evil Head trailer on youtube actually without the nudity. You can tell the person was a fan of the film lol.

House Of The Dead was pretty lame.
They tried to make the movie too much like you were playing the arcade game.
I wish it had been a great movie, it's my favorite video game.

Has anyone else here seen Zombiez? That's some pure trash. I could find no explanation during the movie about what caused the people to turn into zombies. And, it's really awful how they're basically stalking the main character too. Zombies are mindless eating machines! They're going to go for whatever is readily available. They're not going to take out the time to follow one particular person around.

It's a 2005 horror film that I watched since I saw it on one website's Truly Awful movies list. Here's the imdb link -
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0467149/It's right up there with Strawberry Estates, Ax Em, Jack Frost, and Jack-O in terms of quality.

Hey, don't dis Jack-O and Jack Frost!
I watched the trailer and it does look bad. At first I thought that the quality of the video was decent for being low-budget and shot on DV, but then the music kicked in along with the horrible acting and the butcher knife wielding zombies and I was turned off. And the shot of the doorknob when she says, I think, "let me in!" made me laugh out loud. I want to see this now.

Well, if you get it, then let me know and we'll watch it together one night. It looks like you can actually get it from Netflix.

& I 'so' enjoyed the video game too.
But I've got one worse, I think.
Zombie Nation.
Give it a go, it was difficult to watch.
