I'm looking for some good witch movies that I might have missed. I've seen the typical ones that most of us know about:

The Craft
Witchcraft
Witchboard
Witchfinder General
Horror Hotel
Suspiria
The Church
and even Hocus Pocus

Any help would be appreciated!

Not saying these are all good, or even straight horror, but more movies with witches or witch themes:

The Blair Witch Project
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2
The Witches (Roald Dahl)
The Witches of Eastwick
Black Sunday (Mask of Satan)
An American Haunting (and other Bell Witch movies)
Romero's Season of the Witch (Hungry Wives)
Haxan
Spookies (kind of)
Mark of the Devil (1970)
Witch Hunt (1994 with Dennis Hopper)
Superstition (1982)
Virgin Witch
Witchouse 1,2,3
Jake
The Witches!?!
The Craft!

laugh.gif Da Hip Hop Witch! I swear! I read about it, and it sounds awful!

Ooh, Rosemary's Baby could be considered a Witch movie! And, there's Curse of the Demon. Suspiria, Black Sunday, and Blair Witch Project are certainly among the best out there.

Pssst, I watched Teen Witch the other day rolleyes.gif . I couldn't help it. It had been like 20 years since I had seen it. I used to watch that movie all the time. There's a witch movie for you!
horrorable
I have always liked "Warlock". Just be careful you don't wind up with the "Western" with the same name.

I am surprised that this movie is not being shown more but it s showing on Chiller on Thursday 10/30 @ 10:00AM and 4:00PM.

haha we had that on the other day. Sadie has fond memories of watching that movie over and over when she was little. I kind of just looked at the movie horrified while the characters were having some sort of hip hop rap off if that's what you want to call it. laugh.gif

I'm King! And, they know it!
When I snap my fingers, ..... (can't remember what they say here)
I'm hot, and you're not!
But, if you wanna hang with me, I'll give it one shot!
Top that!

The movie is such an 80's teen cliche - teen girl wants nothing more than to be "popular" so she can get her dream guy. In the process, she makes friends with another "outcast". When magic makes her the most popular girl in school, she decides that she doesn't want the popularity anymore. She wants to know that the dream guy likes her when she's just being herself. And, you don't even get to see in the end if she and her friend make up. The movie just ends on her happy ending with prince charming at the dance.

The actual title of the 4th film on your list is The Conqueror Worm, with Witcfinder General being its alternate title for overseas distribution. I hope that this helps you. Thanks for your indulgence. MartinKandell October 29, 2008

Haven't any of you seen Orson Welles' 1948 film adaptation of the play Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare, with Welles as Macbeth and Jeanette Nolan as Lady Macbeth? In the scene of this film where Macbeth goes to meet the witches' coven, he's talking to the leader of the coven, played by Peggy Webber, if I'm assessing this accurately. If you get a chance to watch this film, and are interested in watching it, please do so by all means. It's just a thought that I wished to express. Thanks for your indulgence.
