With all the re-makes and re-makes of re-makes that have and are coming out, why has no on thought to re-make Horror Hotel? This was one of my favorite movies and I think it still holds up today! If done right I think this could be a helluva great re-vamp! Any other opinions?

Are you talking about the one from 1960 starring Christopher Lee AKA "City of the Dead"? If so, that is a great movie. If anyone dares to remake it they should keep it in black and white; that really added a creepy vibe to it. Also, it has to stay in New England. You can't do a movie about a coven of witches in LA LA Land. But for the record, I'm tired of remakes.

Yes that is exactly the one I am talking about. I took my copy out of City of the Dead the other night and watched it and thought that it would be a good one for a re-make. I agree it should stay in B&W however color would be intriguing. The original movie was actually shot in England with Mass. as the background of the movie. It should be shot in Salem Mass., that would be a great background. I am tired of re-makes too but I would definetly support this one.

Although I'm tired of remakes and have been for a while now, it's still fun sometimes to think, "what if?" I could see this as a color movie if it has a very cool colored visual style, as in lots of blue, gray, black, and foggy images. Some movies like this one make more sense to remake because it's a great movie that is fairly unknown, as opposed to say Halloween which is still beloved and widely known.

Good point, Astral. Not many people know this one and a remake might make people check out the original to compare the two. A new color scheme would be interesting. Maybe do the bleach bybass look like SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and BAND OF BROTHERS or the dark tone of FIGHT CLUB. Something bleak and dismal would have to be done to it to make it contain that creepy vibe. I guess next up is who should play the characters?
