Full Version: Friday the 13th movies
For some reason i disliked the first one because it was the mom who killed everybody. The first one is really the only one i saw, but i saw part of another one and i forget which one it is. Can someone tell me. Ill try to describe what i remember. There is this girl and she is telling about how she ran into the woods because she was mad at her parents, then she was attacked by this deformed man. I want to see the rest of it but i cant remember which one it is.
That would be Friday the 13th Part 3. It's also the one where Jason finally gets his iconic hockey mask, and it was originally in 3D. I recommend watching all of the movies if you get a chance. I did a poll for favorites of the series here a while back that you can search. A lot of people love Parts 4 and 6 the most, so definitely check those out.

I HAVE A GOOD ANSWER FOR THIS ONE, BUT I JUST WANT TO HEAR WHAT U THINK IS THE REASON HE DOESNT TALK. I THINK HE JUST WANTS TO KICK UR ASS IN.
I never really got into the friday the 13th movies, but i kinda am now. Can anybody tell me when and how he gets the hockey mask?
Please keep all related discussions to one thread instead of separate ones. It helps keep things organized. 
Anyway, like I said, he got the mask in Part 3. It was one of the victim's, Shelly's, masks that he used to scare people. Jason stole it and put it on. In part 2 he wore the sack over his head, but it wasn't as memorable and ripped off The Town That Dreaded Sundown. They used the hockey mask because they wanted to craft Jason into an image that people will remember, similar to Michael Myers's mask in Halloween.
As for him not talking, it was an artistic decision that the filmmakers made because he is scarier without a voice. Jason, like Myers, is supposed to be a symbol for pure, unstoppable and relentless evil. Having him not talk dehumanizes him and turns him into a monster. Again, this was an artistic decision (opposed to the decision to humanize such monsters as Hannibal Lecter by making them very intelligent and articulate, which also works in that situation). But on a side note, Jason in 2-4 DID make noises, especially when he got hurt. This was the pre-zombie Jason.

When he looks back at the punks, & they run off, I laughed so hard.
