MAY 2008 HIGHLIGHTS
SUMMER SUPER-STARS AND TV HEROES TOP SLEUTH IN MAY
May is SLEUTH’s most exciting month yet with blockbuster films, classic television moments and today’s biggest movie stars.
The stars of this summer’s most anticipated movies—Indiana Jones’ Harrison Ford, Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. and The Hulk’s Edward Norton are in top form. Ford stars in the SLEUTH premiere of Clear and Present Danger on Wednesday May 21 at 8pm and 11pm (ET) and returns in Frantic on Friday May 23 at 8pm and 10:30pm (ET). Downey teams up with James Woods in True Believer on Friday May 2 at 8pm and 11pm (ET). Norton takes on Hannibal Lecter in Red Dragon on Saturday May 10 at 8pm and 10:30pm (ET). Also, catch the critically-acclaimed thriller Memento from Batman: The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan on Saturday May 16 at 8pm and 11:30pm (ET).
TV’s leading men – CSI’s William Petersen, NCIS’ Mark Harmon and 24’s Kiefer Sutherland are on duty this May on SLEUTH. Petersen becomes the Manhunter of a serial killer on Friday May 9 at 8pm and 10:30pm (ET). Harmon joins forces with Sean Connery in the SLEUTH premiere of The Presidio on Saturday May 17 at 8pm and 11pm (ET). Sutherland gets no sleep in a double-feature on Sunday May 25 with Flashback at 8pm and 12:30am (ET) and The Cowboy Way at 10:30pm and 3am (ET).
The greatest men of action films are back-to-back in a Memorial Day marathon on Monday May 26. Arnold Schwarzenegger gets a Raw Deal at 6am and 8pm (ET) then Al Pacino is Serpico at 8pm and 5:30pm (ET). Robert DeNiro stars as the legendary Taxi Driver at 10:30am and 10pm (ET) while Sean Connery and Mark Harmon team-up in The Presidio at 1pm and 12:30am (ET). Finally, Harrison Ford races the clock in Frantic at 3pm and 2:30am (ET).
Lastly, Clint Eastwood stars in the SLEUTH premiere of his action-packed hit, In the Line of Fire on Saturday May 3 at 8pm and 10:30pm (ET).
SLEUTH FINAL CASES IN END OF THE ROAD MARATHON – Sunday May 18, 4pm-6am (ET)
TV’s top sleuths call it a day in a marathon of series finales. Simon & Simon say goodbye at 4pm and 5am (ET) then Magnum, P.I. retires in a two-hour finale at 5pm and 11pm (ET). Crockett and Tubbs bid farewell in a two-hour Miami Vice finale at 7pm and 1am (ET) followed by the reunion of Baltimore’s finest detectives for one more case in Homicide: The Movie at 9pm and 3am (ET).
LEADING LADIES SHINE IN MOTHER’S DAY MARATHON – Sunday May 11, 7pm-5am (ET)
SLEUTH’s top mom, Sam Waters must save her daughter in a special Profiler marathon this Mother’s Day at 7pm and 12am (ET). Series star Ally Walker turns over the reins to Jamie Luner in three thrill-filled hours. Then, Kim Basinger causes trouble for Richard Gere in the thriller No Mercy at 10pm and 3am (ET).
TOM SIZEMORE HEADS THE ROBBERY HOMICIDE DIVISION ON SLEUTH
Action star Tom Sizemore comes to television in the fan-favorite series Robbery Homicide Division paired with Keen Eddie every Thursday night and weekend. The series premieres Thursday May 8 at 9pm and 12am (ET).
