JUNE 2008 HIGHLIGHTS
TOP SLEUTHS AND BIG LAUGHS THIS JUNE
It will be a fun-filled summer on SLEUTH as we honor TV’s favorite crimefighters and investigate some funny business.
The laughs begin on Friday June 6 with the SLEUTH premiere of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels at 8pm and 11pm (ET). Then, Michael Richards is up to no good in Miami Vice at 10pm and 5am (ET). Chevy Chase squares off against Jack Palance in the SLEUTH premiere of Cops and Robbersons on Saturday June 7 at 8pm and 11pm (ET). Chris Rock follows with an early Miami Vice appearance at 10pm and 5am (ET). On Sunday June 8, funnymen Howie Mandel and Robin Williams take serious turns on Homicide: Life on the Street at 6pm and 7pm (ET). Finally, Clint Eastwood hits the road in Pink Cadillac at 8pm and 12:30am (ET).
TV’s top sleuths are honored in a weekend event beginning Friday June 27 as Jodie Foster stars in The Silence of The Lambs at 8pm and 11:30pm (ET) followed by the SLEUTH original special, America’s Top Sleuths at 1am and 3:30am (ET). Bruce Willis appears in his first television role in Miami Vice at 2:30am and 5am (ET).
Ken Wahl returns as Wiseguy on Saturday June 28 at 8am and 12pm (ET), followed by the married detectives in Hart to Hart: Crimes of the Hart at 10am (ET). The detectives of Homicide: Life on the Street join forces with the cast of Law & Order in four episodes beginning at 2pm (ET). That night, the one and only Clint Eastwood stars in Play Misty for Me at 8pm and 11pm followed by Michael Chiklis on Miami Vice at 10pm and 5am (ET).
It’s an early case for Young Sherlock Holmes on Sunday June 29 at 6am (ET) followed by Peter Falk in The Brink’s Job at 8am (ET). The Homicide/Law & Order marathon has an encore at 10am (ET). Angela Lansbury and Tom Selleck team-up in a Magnum, P.I./Murder She Wrote crossover at 4pm and 7pm (ET). Before his role on NYPD Blue, Dennis Franz appeared on an episode of Simon & Simon at 5pm (ET) then Vincent D’Onofrio of Law & Order: Criminal Intent guest stars in Homicide at 6pm (ET). We celebrate the 40th anniversary of Columbo with a rare Peter Falk interview in America’s Top Sleuths at 8pm and 2am (ET) followed by The Brink’s Job at 9:30pm. Finally, Law & Order: Criminal Intent’s Eric Bogosian is on the air in Talk Radio at 11:30pm and 3:30am (ET).
SPEND A HOT SUMMER WITH ICE–T – Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22
SLEUTH’s hottest new show, Players, starts off the summer on Saturday June 21 from 2-6pm. Ice-T and Costas Mandylor star in three hours of the 1990s Dick Wolf crime drama plus an Ice-T episode of New York Undercover. The marathon encores on Sunday June 22 from 10am-2pm (ET).
FATHER’S DAY WITH TOUGH GUYS – Sunday June 15, 4pm-5am (ET)
Let Dad relax with his favorite movie tough guys in an eleven-hour movie marathon. James Woods and Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr. team-up for True Believer at 4pm and 3am (ET) then Robert DeNiro tells A Bronx Tale at 6pm (ET). Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick star in the SLEUTH premiere of The Freshman at 8:30pm and 1am (ET). Finally, summer’s biggest action-star Harrison Ford stars in Frantic at 10:30pm (ET).
VETERAN CRIMEFIGHTERS ARE BACK ON THE CASE – Sunday June 1, 8pm-5am (ET)
The war on crime never ends as Ken Wahl returns in Wiseguy: The Movie at 8pm and 2am (ET) while Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers reunite for Hart to Hart Returns at 10pm and 4am (ET). Then, the entire seven-year cast faces their toughest case in Homicide: The Movie at 12am (ET).
