Simon & Simon still has an extremely loyal fan base following! They're show was good quality 80's PI television. I guess that's why it ran for so long. It's right up there with Magnum. The crossover episodes were awesome. We're all waiting for Universal to release the rest of the seasons on boxes sets. COME ON!!!

Hee hee. I have to agree with Amanda. Rick and AJ Simon are my fave sleuths. (I also like Magnum. And Remington Steele. And Dave and Maddie from Moonlighting. And Rockford. And Miss Marple! OK, so I like all detective shows.)

I agree: Good quality 80īs television. I sometimes wonder how s-l-o-w it is edited. It was really relaxing to watch TV back then ;-)
And I enjoy it today a fortiori!

I, also really loved Simon and Simon when I was little. It was a show that we watched together as a family. Even though today's TV is all about ritz, glamour, and seeing how much vulgarity they can get away with, I still prefer to watch Simon and Simon reruns.

Has SLEUTH the power to convince UNIVERSAL to release all other seasons of Simon & Simon to DVD?
This weeks schedule speaks for the great quality of the show. Who killed the 60ies, Manna from Heaven are among my TOP TEN... When will I be able to buy the 2nd season?? unsure.gif

I agree. Simon & Simon was one of the best, if not the best. It has everything a show needs to be successful. It has mystery, comedy, and a sense of loyalty among the actors. I loved this show when I was in high school and I still love it now. It is now attracting the younger viewers (my son has become a huge fan and he's 15) by being shown on Sleuth and being released on DVD. I purchased the season 1 DVDs as soon as they came out and have watched them over and over again. I also watch them on Sleuth six days out of the week.

I, too, wish they would go ahead and release season 2.

Sleuth is owned by Universal Studios so they should be able to convice the company to release the rest of the Simon & Simon series. I know I would buy the next 7 seasons today if they came out. The only reason I watch Sleuth is to see Simon & Simon. I used to watch Knight Rider and the A-Team but they removed those from the line up the beginning of 2007. I will watch the Rockford Files sometimes and very rarely Miami Vice.

I rarely watch NBC, CBS or ABC these days as most of the programming coming out doesn't interest me. The networks don't want to spend the money on shows like Simon & Simon because they cost more money to produce. The networks want to jam this reality tv programming down our throats because they are low cost to produce so the networks make a fortune off the shows.

I have to believe that the ratings for TV are just made up by some organization. I know I am not watching those shows and I don't know many people who do. Lets put it this way, if I couldn't afford Satellite and only had the option to watch the local stations I would just stop watching TV. I miss the days when I actually would get excited because my favorite TV show would be on that night. With all the advancements since the 80s you would think they could do better than this!

blink.gif Okay, there were so many of you that I agreed with, I just waited till the end to reply. I watch TV to see Simon and Simon! Believe it or not, I had never heard of them until... technically two or three years ago, but I jus started watching them (on Sleuth, of course) this summer. The first episode of anything I ever saw with them in it was the Magnum PI episode Ki'is Don't Lie. I remember my mom watching it and saying something like: "Oh, look! It's Simon & Simon!" To which I responded: "Who?" If only I knew what I was missing. This summer, I saw the show listed on Sleuth as I was flipping through channels, and tuned in because I recognized the name and was tired of watching country music videos at lunch. Now, about sixty VHS tapes later... I have come to one very solid conclusion: I would steal both Rick and his truck if they showed up on my doorstep. biggrin.gif (accompanied by an ecstatic giggle)

I am SO thrilled to have found this channel! A friend told me that Sleuth was showing Simon and Simon and I became an avid fan of your network. Thanks so much for including this amazing show in your lineup!

I only wish seasons 2-8 were available on dvd!
